MSc Cancer Cell Biology

University of Sussex

Course overview

This one-year Master's degree provides students with cutting-edge knowledge and intensive hands-on training in molecular and cell biology, which is vital for today's cancer research. Students will learn directly from research scientists at the Genome Damage and Stability Centre, gaining a deep understanding of the molecular and cell biology foundations of cancer.

A very important part of the programme is a six-month, independent research project that students will complete in a laboratory. This project counts for a large part of their final mark. This unique chance allows students to build analysis and practical skills by designing and carrying out original research using the very latest techniques and equipment.
