MSc Criminology Cybercrime and Cybersecurity

The MSc Criminology (Cybercrime and Cybersecurity) at the University of Surrey is designed to develop students' knowledge and understanding of both cybercrime and cybersecurity. It also provides students with the expertise in key crime theories to explain issues in crime and the criminal justice system.

During the programme, they will also acquire skills in conducting social research and will benefit from training in some of the most important social research methods used by practitioners, policy-makers and researchers in the area.

This course includes a yearly one-day postgraduate conference, offering an opportunity to discuss current research issues and debates, technologies and methods at the forefront of cybercrime and criminological research, as well as other related themes, in an informal setting.

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement discussing their reasons for applying to the MSc International Relations course and provide other relevant information about their studies. A relevant academic and/or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs along with their applications to demonstrate their work experience.

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants are expected to have a minimum of a 2:2 UK honours degree in behavioural science, business, criminology, law, psychology, or a human or political science, or a recognised equivalent international qualification.

English Proficiency:

• Applicants from non-English-speaking backgrounds need an IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or provide an equivalent recognised English language test score like TOEFL or PTE.

For international students, the tuition fee for the MSc Criminology (Cybercrime and Cybersecurity) course at the University of Surrey is £22,700.
