BA Applied Care Practice Adult Support Needs Progression Route

Course Overview

The University of Suffolk BA Applied Care Practice (Progression Route) is designed for practitioners who are already working in the care sector, including the public, private, and voluntary areas. It enables professionals to build upon their existing Level 5 qualifications, such as a Foundation Degree (FdA/FdSc), by combining advanced theoretical knowledge with practical application in contemporary care practice.

The programme concentrates on integrated practice, aiming to deepen expertise in key subject areas, enhance practical skills, and strengthen professional values. This course offers students a flexible structure, requiring them to be present on campus for only one to two days a week. The rest of the learning involves independent, self-directed study. Additionally, students must hold at least a 10-hour weekly position, paid or voluntary, within a relevant care setting.
