The Business Management (Accounting and Finance) (Top-Up) at the University of South Wales is ideal for students who already hold an HND or equivalent qualification and want to earn a full bachelor’s degree in under a year. Delivered over two 12-week terms, the Business Management (Accounting and Finance) (Top-Up) from the University of South Wales combines theoretical knowledge with real-world application. The University of South Wales (USW) was created in 2013 following the merger of the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport. Consideration will be made on an individual basis for alternative qualifications and/or relevant experience, provided students can demonstrate sufficient related knowledge and understanding to equip them for level 6 study in a business discipline. 

Grade Requirements:

• Successful completion of an HND in Business Studies or Business & Accounting, a Foundation Degree in Business Studies, Service Sector Management or Retail Management, or an equivalent qualification, e.g. a Diploma in Higher Education or ILM Leadership and Management (Level 5).

English Proficiency:

• International applicants will need to have achieved an overall IELTS of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. TOEFL score of 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing or equivalent is also accepted.

For the 2025/2026 academic session, the Business Management (Accounting and Finance) (Top-Up) at the University of South Wales costs £15,850. This is provisional as fees may be increased.

International students at the University of South Wales can take advantage of a variety of scholarships that make studying in the UK more affordable. The Chancellor’s International Development Scholarship offers a generous £2,500 reduction in tuition fees per academic year. Students who are organised early may also benefit from the Early CAS Scholarship, which provides an extra £500 discount each year for those who secure their CAS by the specified dates in May or October.
