Course overview

This is an intensive Master of Arts course, with a duration of two years full-time or three years part-time. It prepares graduates to work as licensed play therapists, solely helping children. This programme is the longest in the UK to be recognised by the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT). It uses a human kind of approach, and play is used in helping relationships to make positive changes for children.

The course blends academic theory, practical skills, and strong personal growth. All students must attend personal therapy while they study the course. Learning includes hands-on, practical sessions and a final research portfolio. When students finish, they will be allowed to register as full members of BAPT.
