The BA Computer Games Art at the University of Portsmouth is a three-year programme designed to master the technical skills required to create assets for video games. The programme covers key areas, including art theory, observational drawing, digital sculpting, texture painting, 3D modelling, rigging, and animation to produce artists ready for the games and wider creative industries.
Learning takes place in high-specification facilities, such as the UK's first Centre for Creative Immersive and Extended Reality (CCIXR). Students will collaborate with peers from other game courses and make use of industry-standard game engines such as Unreal and motion capture technologies in project work. Assessment involves practical assignments and the creation of a professional portfolio.

Grade Requirements:
Applicants are required to have 120–128 UCAS points from A-levels at ABB to BBB, merit grades in T-levels, a BTEC Extended Diploma at DDM, or an International Baccalaureate with 24 points.
Other international equivalent qualifications are also considered.
English Proficiency:
Applicants whose first language is not English need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
An equivalent of PTE and TOEFL can also be considered.
Interested international students will pay an annual tuition fee of £17,900 to study the BA Computer Games Art in the University of Portsmouth.
