BSc Psychology with Criminology

University of Hull

Course overview

This three-year, full-time BSc Psychology with Criminology at the University of Hull gives students a complete understanding of the human mind and how it links to crime, and how society reacts to it. The University of Hull is a long-time leader in these subjects, concentrating on research into big, current issues like trauma, violent crime, and cybercrime. As part of the studies, students can also spend a semester studying in Europe or gain valuable practice through work placements with criminal justice organisations.

Learning will be very hands-on, making use of modern equipment like the brain stimulation lab and eye-tracking tools. Students will get to test their skills in a realistic crime scene room right on the campus. They will be assessed in several ways throughout the degree, including written assessments (like exams and multiple-choice tests), practical work (such as presentations or laboratory tasks), and coursework (including essays, research projects, and dissertations). If students successfully graduate with a 2:2 grade or better, they will be eligible to become a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
