BEng Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies
Course overview
The BEng Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies at the University of Hertfordshire is designed to give students the skills they need to start a career in the aerospace industry. The course combines theory and practical work and allows students to understand the foundation of aircraft design and performance.
Throughout the programme, students study how aircraft systems function, how aerodynamics affects flight, and how to design and develop aerospace structures from a pilot's perspective. They also take part in hands-on projects that help them apply what they’ve learnt in real engineering situations.
Teaching comes through lectures, lab sessions, group design tasks, and simulations, all delivered by academics with genuine industry experience. Opportunities to fly will also be provided. Assessments include design reports, written assignments, group projects, and exams.
