LLB Law with Criminology
Course overview
The LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology at the University of Greenwich is a three-year full-time undergraduate programme designed for students who wish to study core areas of legal knowledge alongside key criminology topics. The course provides a strong academic foundation in law while developing an understanding of crime, justice, and society.
In the first year, students study essential modules such as Public Law, Law of Contract, Legal System and Legal Skills, and Foundations of Criminology. The second year includes compulsory subjects like Land Law, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, and Policing and Society. In the final year, students complete Equity and Trusts and EU Law, alongside a selection of optional modules tailored to their interests.
Teaching and assessment combine lectures, seminars, workshops, personal tutor support, and independent study. Students also have opportunities for work-based or placement experience through initiatives such as the University’s Legal Advice Centre and the Innocence Project London, helping them develop strong practical and professional skills.
This degree includes the foundations of legal knowledge recognised by the Bar Standards Board and prepares graduates for the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).
