The University of Greenwich, established in 1890 as Woolwich Polytechnic, has a storied history of evolution and growth. Initially founded to provide vocational education to the local community, it became Thames Polytechnic in 1970 following mergers with other institutions, and achieved university status in 1992, adopting its current name.

Academically, the university is structured into four faculties: the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Business School, the Faculty of Education, Health & Human Sciences, and the Faculty of Engineering and Science. These faculties offer a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supported by professional service directorates.

The university operates across three main campuses: the Greenwich Campus, the Avery Hill Campus, and the Medway Campus. Each of these campuses has its distinct character.

Grade Requirements

• 120 UCAS Tariff points in A-Levels, T Levels, BTECs, Access to HE and all other qualifications with UCAS Tariff points.

English Proficiency

• International students whose first language is not English need to show proof of English proficiency. An IELTS overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each skill area is required. 

• Other academic English tests such as TOEFL, PTE Academic or high school level qualifications that you may have taken in your country, such as GCSE English or a WAEC English Language are also accepted.

Students who wish to study BA (Hons) Accounting and Business Analytics from the University of Greenwich are expected to pay an annual tuition fee of £17,500. This fee is provisional and subject to change.

The University of Greenwich offers a range of scholarships and bursaries to support students financially throughout their studies. One notable opportunity is the International Scholarship Award. International students holding an offer to study at the University of Greenwich may be eligible for a tuition fee discount of up to £3,500 in their first year. To qualify, applicants must have an offer for a course, pay fees at the international rate, and not be receiving any other scholarships from the university or another source. ​

There is also the International Students Early Confirmation Scholarship. This scholarship supports international students who hold an offer and meet the deposit deadline. Undergraduate students can receive up to £8,000 (£4,000 in Year 1, £2,000 in Year 2, and £2,000 in Year 3), while postgraduate students may receive £4,000. To be eligible, applicants must submit their deposit payment via the Convera platform. 

Additionally, the Greenwich Bursary provides £700 to new undergraduate students from low-income households. This bursary is assessed and awarded automatically by the Student Fees and Funding Team.
