MSc Health Psychology

University of Gloucestershire

Course overview

This master's degree in health psychology is recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS). The course teaches students to use what they know about psychology to improve health and stop people from getting sick. This work can be done in hospitals or local community groups. The programme takes a deeper look, understanding that a person's health is strongly influenced by things like their social life, culture, and money (economic factors).

The teaching is given two days a week through a mix of interactive lectures and workshops, focusing on evidence-based practice and professional skills. Assessment uses real-world tasks such as preparing reflective portfolios, public health reports, and case studies, leading up to a large research dissertation.
