University of East London

Course overview

The BSc Podiatry at the University of East London gets students ready to become skilled healthcare professionals with specialities in the foot, ankle, and lower limb. The programme combines academic learning with rich practical experience that also has clinical placements within NHS hospitals in London and the East of England. Students get to learn anatomy, physiology, pathology, and the body’s response to illness and injury, with a focus on podiatric conditions.

The learning approach features a modern Hospital and Primary Care Training Hub replicating real patient journeys from A&E to intensive care and home care. The methods of evaluation include exams, coursework, and practical tests throughout the three years. The programme is accredited by the Royal College of Podiatry, thereby aiding graduates to register with the Health and Care Professions Council and pursue professional membership.
