LLB Law English NI

University of Dundee

Course overview

This three-year LLB Law (English/NI) at the University of Dundee gives students the main legal knowledge needed to practise law in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. It also helps prepare students for the first stage of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). This degree is accepted globally in many countries with similar laws, such as Canada and Nigeria.

Students will learn mostly through lectures and tutorials, along with discussions and independent work. The course assessments focus on helping students develop professional skills, including strong research, clear analysis, and problem-solving. We encourage students to join law groups, like the Mooting Society, to get hands-on experience in argument and presentation skills.

Entry requirements

To apply, students need to submit a personal statement explaining why they want to take the course and sharing relevant details about their past studies. Candidates also need a reference from a teacher or an employer. Students can choose to upload their Curriculum Vitae (CV) to show any work experience they have..
