Course overview

MSci Nursing (Child) and Leadership at the University of Derby is a four-year full-time course. Students who do not already hold a degree can earn a masters level award while achieving NMC registration in children’s nursing. The programme develops skills in clinical practice, leadership, health promotion, and professional nursing in child healthcare. The course supports the development of emotional resilience, reflective practice and transformational leadership in future nurses. This MSci programme combines theoretical work, clinical placements and leadership training.

Students study modules in child health, pathophysiology, pharmacology, leadership, research methods and ethics.
