BSc Forensic Science

Course Overview

The BSc (Hons) Forensic Science degree gives a strong foundation in chemical and biological sciences needed for crime investigation. The curriculum is shaped by research and it is taught by expert professors, including a former detective from New Scotland Yard. Students will learn practically in a specialist forensic laboratory and a mock crime-scene facility that will help them apply all they have learnt in theory to real-life experience.

This programme is structured to build students’ skills step by step. The first year modules focus on the basic course principles and report writing, while the second year will require students to apply their understanding to complex cases, interpreting and presenting forensic evidence. In the Final year, students will carry out a research project and prepare to act as an expert witness.
