BSc Food and Nutrition Top-up

The BSc (Hons) Food and Nutrition Top-up at University College Birmingham is a one-year, full-time programme designed to meet the growing demand for graduates with specialised expertise in the commercial food sector. The course covers modern topics such as disease modulation through dietary change, as well as global issues like food security, supply, and sustainability.

Students gain practical experience in the university’s professional kitchens and the cutting-edge Food Science and Innovation Suite. Learning also includes guest lectures from industry experts, providing up-to-date professional insights. Assessment is based primarily on coursework (80%) with written examinations comprising the remainder.
