PHD Materials and Fluid Flow Modelling

The MPhil in Materials and Fluid Flow Modelling is a practical research programme focused on a specific subject. The course allows students to explore areas such as liquid crystals, polymers, or thermodynamics, with the potential for their work to be published alongside respected research from the Materials and Engineering Research Institute (MERI).

The student will carry out research independently with guidance from a supervisory team. The programme includes training in research methods, laboratory skills, and proper practices. Students will also have the opportunity to present their findings at the MERI Research Conference, which helps them become part of the academic community.

Grade Requirements:

All applicants should hold a strong undergraduate degree (2.1 or above) and/or a relevant master's qualification (or the equivalent).

English Proficiency:

An overall IELTS score of 6.5 or above, with at least 6.0 in each component or an accepted equivalent. Please note that your test score must be current, i.e. within the last two years.
