PHD Ceramics, Glasses and Polymers
Course overview
The MPhil in Ceramics, Glasses and Polymers is a research course for those who want to undertake an extensive study into these materials. The programme aligns with the standards of the Materials and Engineering Research Institute (MERI). The programme allows students to analyse ceramics, glasses, or polymers and their applications, conduct experiments in modern MERI facilities, and contribute to the recognised work of MERI researchers.
Students learn through independent research, with mentoring from a supervisory team. The course includes laboratory training, research and teacher training. Students are expected to participate in the MERI Research workshops, where they will present posters and give oral presentations. The final work is expected to stand alongside the university's respected publications.
