About University
Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) is a large public university in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1843 as the Sheffield School of Design and was granted university status in 1992. SHU has two main campuses: the City Campus and the Collegiate Campus. The City Campus is situated in the centre of Sheffield. This campus is where the university teaches professional and technical subjects, including engineering, computing, business, and law. It has modern facilities for these courses. The Collegiate Campus is in a green, suburban area about two miles from the city centre. This campus is for subjects like health, education, and sports.
