BSc Honours Psychology with Foundation Year
Course overview
The BSc (Hons) Psychology with Foundation Year from Sheffield Hallam University prepares students for careers where critical thinking, time management, and observational skills are needed. It is a course for every student with a curious mind, where even a mango that fell from a tree prompts a question. There is also a foundation year where students learn about human behaviour and how the mind works, including what behavioural patterns affect individuals over a long period.
In this programme, students receive lectures that assist their clinical reasoning, communication, and listening skills, as they work with people from different backgrounds, temperaments, and views of life. This degree explains human behaviour, including how to build critical thinking and perform better research. This programme helps graduates improve their analytical skills and apply the knowledge acquired in class to their careers. The job position could include working under the armed forces, where their understanding of human behaviour can be useful in crime investigation.
Learning in this course is through lectures, field trips, group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and lab classes. Assessment methods include presentation, tests, assignments, lab reports, examinations, and a final year project.
