LLM Master of Laws
Course overview
The Master of Laws (LLM) at Nottingham Trent University is a programme that allows students to build a customised LLM course by choosing modules that align with their legal interests and career goals. Students have a wide range of specialised modules, providing flexibility to focus on specific areas such as human rights, international trade, or corporate law. The course is delivered by experienced academics and legal practitioners, and it combines theoretical study with practical application to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Learning is assessed through coursework, research projects, and a dissertation, ensuring that students gain both academic depth and practical insight. The course also provides access to NLS Legal, the university’s award-winning on-campus teaching law firm, where students can engage with real clients and cases. Full-time students complete the programme in one year, while part-time students can extend their studies over two years, making it suitable for a range of professional and academic goals.
