Overview

The BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy course at London South Bank University can be taken either full-time for three years or part-time for four years. It aims to teach students both the science and practical skills of occupational therapy. This helps them learn how to use activities for therapy, assist with recovery, and improve communication. Entry Requirements

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement where they discuss their reasons for applying for the course. A relevant academic or employer reference is also required. Students have the option to upload their CVs to show their work experience. Additionally, applicants must show a strong commitment to the profession, pass occupational health and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, and be able to travel for placements.

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants need 120 UCAS tariff points, such as from three A Levels at BBB or above. Alternatively, a BTEC Level 3 extended diploma at DDD in a health-related subject, or an Access to HE Diploma in Science with 15 Distinctions and 30 Merits, or other equivalent Level 3 qualifications are accepted.
  • All candidates must have five GCSEs at grade A-C (grade 4 or above), including English and Mathematics.

English Proficiency:

  • International students whose first language is not English must achieve a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with a score of 5.5 in all individual sections of the test.

Cost of Study

For international students, the annual tuition fee for this programme is £17,600.
