BSc Criminology and Forensic Psychology

This BSc Criminology and Forensic Psychology at Kingston University researches the causes of crime and how to prevent it, with a focus on the legal system. Students will examine the psychological reasons for criminal behaviour, and social, cultural, and political factors for this behaviour. The course helps students have an understanding of criminal justice and the methods used to investigate crime and its consequences.

Students can take an optional placement year between the second and final years to gain practical experience. The course is taught theoretically and practically, and the students are assessed through coursework, practical work, and examinations.

Grade Requirements:

• Candidates need 120 UCAS points, which can be achieved with A-levels at BBB, a BTEC Extended Diploma at DDM or another qualification. 
• A minimum of two A-levels is required. 

English Proficiency:

• Candidates need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5. 
• TOEFL and PTE are also accepted.

The annual tuition fee for the BSc Criminology and Forensic Psychology in Kingston University is £18,500 for the 2025/26 academic year. A fee of £1,260 can be paid for an optional placement year.

Kingston University offers several scholarships and discounts, including the Inspire the Future Scholarship, which provides a 40% fee reduction for taught master's or postgraduate diploma courses starting in September, limited to 20 scholarships for progressing Kingston University graduates. International postgraduate students may receive up to £5,000 towards tuition fees in their first year through International Scholarships.
