BSc Psychology and Education
Course overview
The BSc Psychology and Education at Keele University studies the mind, brain, and behaviour of people. It will help students understand how people think, feel, and act. The course covers topics in psychology such as the biological bases of behaviour, cognition, individual differences, and social interaction. Also, provides students with training in both quantitative and qualitative research methods.
The education part of the programme focuses on modern issues, policy-making, and how people learn, especially in a classroom setting. Throughout the course, students will learn to apply psychological theories to real-world educational backgrounds and will be assessed through coursework, essays, reports, presentations, and a final-year research project.
The programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is the first step to becoming a chartered psychologist. Students will have the opportunity to take a work placement or an international year that will provide them with practical experience and develop their professional and personal skills.
Entry requirements
To apply, candidates must submit a personal statement explaining their reasons for applying and any other relevant information, a reference from an academic or employer and a CV.
Grade Requirements:
- Candidates should submit a BBB in three A-levels.
- A Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma with a grade of DDM is also accepted.
- An International Baccalaureate Diploma with 30 points or a T Level at Merit are also considered
- All candidates are required to have a minimum of grade 4 or C in GCSE Maths.
English Proficiency:
- Candidates should submit a grade 4 or C in GCSE English.
- Candidates can also submit an overall score of 6.0 in the IELTS Academic test, with no component score below 5.5.
- PTE and TOEFL are also accepted.
