This programme has been designed to support your employability in public health roles across the UK and internationally.The MPH Master of Public Health at Glasgow Caledonian University is designed for those who want to improve public health and reduce health inequalities both locally and globally. You can choose from four exit awards depending on your needs: Master of Public Health, Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health.

Entry Requirements

If you do not have the typical academic entry qualifications, but can demonstrate relevant work experience from recognised professional bodies, you may be eligible to study this course through the University's Recognition of Prior Learning scheme.

Grade Requirements:

  • A UK honours degree of 2:2 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Allied Health professions, Microbiology or Chemistry is required for this course. 

English Proficiency: 

  • Applicants who are non native speakers of English will be required to show proof of proficiency in English. To do this, an IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent) with no component below 6.0 is required. 

Cost of Study

The tuition fee to study the Master of Public Health at Glasgow Caledonian University for the 2025/2026 academic year is £16,200.

Scholarships

GCU believes education is for everyone, regardless of financial situation. Because of this, it offers a range of scholarships to support students and ease their financial burden. 

International students from India, Nigeria and Pakistan who study a full-time Taught Postgraduate course with Glasgow Caledonian University from the academic year September 2025-2026 are eligible for a tuition fee discount.

Also, fee-paying students can receive a discount of 5% on fees over £5,000 if the early payment date is met.
