LLB Law

Course Overview

De Montfort University's LLB Law degree is a comprehensive curriculum that provides students with a solid foundation in legal concepts, as well as the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the legal profession. This course aims to provide students with a thorough understanding of the English legal system, including its history, structure, and profession.

The LLB Law program at De Montfort University teaches students how laws are created and how they affect people's lives. It teaches important subjects like criminal law, civil liberties, and how courts work. Inside a mock courtroom, students act out trials and practise interviewing clients. This degree prepares students for professional legal training and is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board.

Students learn through lectures, group seminars, legal projects, and role-playing in the mock courtroom. There are tasks like writing essays, giving presentations, and interviewing clients in practice settings. Assessments also include exams and a dissertation in the final year. All of these build strong legal thinking and professional communication skills.
