Course overview

The BSc (Hons) Computer Games Programming degree at De Montfort University helps students develop the skills they need for a career in the games industry. Students learn industry-standard programming skills, gain practical experience with specialist software like Unity3D and Unreal engines, and develop games for different platforms, including standalone, web-based, and mobile devices, with a focus on creating engaging graphics and animation.

The BSc (Hons) Computer Games Programming course at De Montfort University uses a unique teaching approach called "Education 2030", where students focus on one subject at a time in block teaching, allowing for deeper learning.

The course also includes practical lab work, a potential placement year in industry, and opportunities for global experience through the DMU Global programme, and is fully certified by the British Computer Society (BCS).
