Course Overview

Coventry University's BSc Computer Science course gives students the practical skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the fast-changing world of technology. Students will learn about important areas like software development, artificial intelligence, parallel programming, and data science. This prepares students to create digital solutions and build software that meets user needs. Choosing the foundation year option gives students a solid academic start before moving on to the main degree.

Entry Requirements for Egyptian Students

Candidates are required to submit a personal statement where they discuss their reasons for applying for the course and other necessary information about their education. Grade Requirements:

  • To be considered for admission, applicants are expected to have achieved a minimum of 80 UCAS tariff points from their qualifications.
  • Alongside these tariff points, candidates must also have successfully obtained 5 GCSEs at grades A-C or numerical grades 4-9. These must include passes in both Mathematics and English, in addition to at least one A2 level qualification or an equivalent BTEC qualification.

English Proficiency:

  • For applicants whose primary language is not English, a minimum overall score of 6.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is required.
  • Furthermore, within the IELTS examination, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 5.5 in each individual component. Also, applicants may submit scores from an equivalent Secure English Language Test (SELT) that meet these specified levels.

The tuition fee for the BSc Computer Science (Foundation + Degree) course for International students is £19,850 per year.

Scholarships
