BEng Aerospace Engineering

Course Overview

The Aerospace Engineering BEng (Hons) course at Coventry University teaches students about the core ideas of systems engineering and how they apply to the aerospace industry. Students will learn about mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering, and get hands-on experience with tools used in the industry. Teachers of this course have real-world experience, so students will learn both theory and practical skills, supported by the university's research in areas such as aerodynamics and aircraft design.

Students will learn through activities such as projects, case studies, and practical work in classrooms and labs. This includes building things with Arduino for aircraft data. Students will be graded in different ways, such as exams, tests, essays, group projects, presentations, reports, coursework, and individual tasks. The BEng (Hons) with a foundation year is a four-year course that gives students a strong base before they choose their specialisation. This course is also approved by the Royal Aeronautical Society.
