Foundation Programme: Cardiff School of Management

Course Overview

The Foundation Programme at Cardiff School of Management is a one-year course that helps students get ready to start a bachelor's degree in business. It's a great option if you don't currently meet the usual entry requirements or if you'd like to boost your academic skills and English language ability.

In this course, you'll study topics such as Academic & Professional Skills, Marketing in the 21st Century, and Working in Management. These modules will give you important skills in how to communicate effectively, do research, work with numbers, and understand the world of business. This course can also be useful if you're not completely sure which business subject you want to focus on later in your degree. It's also suitable if you don't have the specific subjects needed to go straight into the first year of a bachelor's degree, or if you're coming back to studying after a break.

Learning is delivered through lectures, seminars, group work, and workshops. Assessments include essays, presentations, reports, tests, and projects, ensuring students are well-prepared for higher-level study.
