Course Overview

The BSc Sport Therapy and Rehabilitation at Canterbury Christ Church University is a practical course that prepares you for a job in sport rehabilitation. It is approved by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT). This means that when you finish the course, you can apply to become a registered professional.

You will learn about important topics such as Anatomy, Biomechanics, and how the body moves. You will study both theory and practical skills, using professional equipment in our modern Verena Holmes building.

During the course, you will get real experience through placements in your second and third years. As part of your training, you will work in the university’s own teaching clinic. There are also chances to work with local charities such as Pilgrim’s Hospice.

About University

Canterbury Christ Church University is a public research university in Canterbury, Kent, England. It began in 1962 as a Church of England teacher-training college and gained full university status in 2005.

The university has around 18,500 to 20,000 students. Approximately 10% are international, coming from over 100 countries. Many students are mature learners, with nearly half of its undergraduates aged over 21.

Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants must possess 112 UCAS tariff points which may include qualifications such as A-Levels at BBC, BTEC at DDM, and International Baccalaureate of 29 points. 

English Proficiency: 

  • International students whose first language is not English are expected to demonstrate proficiency in English by having an IELTS score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each of the four components. 
  • If you do not meet this requirement, you can register for the university’s pre-sessional English courses.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee to study the BSc in Sport Therapy and Rehabilitation at Canterbury Christ Church University for the 2025/26 academic year is £15,500.
