BSc Nutrition and Dietetics
Course overview
This 3-year programme is approved by both the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). It prepares students to prevent, find, and take care of health issues related to food so they can become registered dietitians. The course combines classroom learning with at least 1,000 hours of practical work within three years, giving students experience with patients in North Wales.
Students will learn through classes, hands-on workshops in quality food science and clinical rooms, and practice sessions. Students will be marked in diverse ways, including essays, exams, talk giving, and practical checks of their clinical skills. When students pass the course, they can apply to become registered professionals with the HCPC and can be full members of the BDA.
