BSc Medical Neuroscience
Course overview
The BSc Medical Neuroscience checks the human brain and nervous system, studying how they are built, how they work, and their relationship with the mind. A central part of the course looks at the causes of brain diseases like epilepsy and schizophrenia to help find advanced ways of prevention and treatment. Students will be taught modern skills in the laboratory, including computing, programming, and data analysis.
They will learn in a supportive environment within the School of Life Sciences. Students get to have practical experiences through hands-on work in the laboratories and at seminars. Their tutors are active researchers in areas such as neuroanatomy, medicine, and genetics, meaning their learning is always up-to-date with the latest scientific discoveries.
