Course Overview

The BEng Chemical Engineering with Foundation Year at the University of Surrey is a good option if your school grades are not high enough for a standard course. It includes an extra year, called the Foundation Year, which helps you improve your skills and makes starting university easier. When you finish this extra year successfully, you move straight into the first year of the main degree.

Entry Requirements for Sri Lankan Students

Grade Requirements:

  • For the A-level, you will need to achieve grades of CCC. This must include Mathematics and one other subject from the following list: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Further Maths, or Physics.
  • If you are studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma, you will need an overall score of 29 points.

English Proficiency:

  • For English language proficiency, you require an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall (or equivalent), with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component.

Cost of Study

The tuition fee to study the BEng Chemical Engineering with Foundation Year at the University of Surrey is £27,000 per year. Please note that tuition fees are provisional and are, thus, subject to change.
