BEng Aerospace Engineering with foundation year and placement

This is a five-year course that starts with a foundation year to help students build solid knowledge before they begin the degree. It also includes a year of on-the-job training in the industry. This course is for students who have the potential to become successful engineers but need a lower starting grade. You will receive complete instruction in key areas like advanced materials, aerodynamics, design, engine technology, and space systems.

Students get to learn from experts whose teaching includes the newest research. Students will use specialist equipment, such as modern wind-tunnel labs. A key part of the course is the award-winning Professional Training placement, which helps students get practical experience. They can also build teamwork skills by joining successful student design groups. This BEng degree is officially approved by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).

Grade Requirements:

• Applicants need A-level grades of CCC. These must include Mathematics and one other science subject from this list: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Further Maths, or Physics.
• They also need a GCSE grade 4 (C) or higher in English Language.

English Proficiency:

• If English is not the applicant's first language, they need an overall score of 6.0 in the IELTS Academic test. You must also get at least 5.5 in every part of the test (reading, writing, listening, and speaking), or provide an approved test score that is equivalent.

The tuition fee for international students is £27,000 per academic year for BEng Aerospace Engineering with Foundation Year and Placement programme.
