BSc Clinical Psychology

The BSc Clinical Psychology at the University of Sunderland is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). This programme introduces students to key areas of psychology, including biological, cognitive, and social concepts, while placing a strong emphasis on mental health, patient care, and ethical practice. Grade Requirements:

• 120–104 UCAS points from A-levels, T Levels, or equivalent qualifications.
• Equivalent international qualifications are accepted.
• GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade 4/C or above are required.

English Proficiency:

• Minimum IELTS overall score of 6.0, with no component below 5.5.
• Other accepted tests include PTE Academic and Cambridge Assessment English.

The tuition fee for international students enrolled in the BSc Clinical Psychology programme at the University of Sunderland is £16,500 per year.

The University of Sunderland offers financial support to international undergraduate students through scholarships and fee discounts, such as the Global Leaders Scholarship, which is a prestigious award that offers a  £5,000 reduction in tuition fees per year. Note that students from regions, including East Asia, Gulf states, and Europe, are not eligible. Other Discounts, such as the general International Scholarship or Fee Reduction, offer a £1,400 discount on the tuition fee for the first year.

Region-Specific Scholarships offer scholarships to students from particular regions. For example, international students from Africa may be qualified for a scholarship that offers £5,000 per year. The University of Sunderland Scholarship, which awards £3,000 to students who show improvement in their grades from GCSEs to Level 3 qualifications, and the Sir Bob Murray Health (Psychology) Scholarship, is made for students applying to a psychology programme.
