MSci Immunology

Course Overview

The MSci Immunology course at the University of Strathclyde is an integrated master's degree that gives students a detailed understanding of the immune system. Students will learn how the body fights off infections and what happens when the immune system does not function properly, leading to conditions like allergies. The course focuses on practical laboratory skills and uses the university's research strengths linking industry and the National Health Service.

The course is set up to build students' knowledge over five years. The first two years cover basic biomolecular sciences, and then students specialise in immunology. In the final year, students will do a major research project and write a thesis. The programme is also flexible, allowing students to change to other similar degrees if their interests change early in their studies.
