MEng Mechanical Engineering

The MEng Mechanical Engineering course at the University of Strathclyde is a five-year program that prepares you for a career as a professional engineer. It is an integrated masters-level study that goes beyond the standard of undergraduate level, to give you the knowledge and the skills needed to become a Chartered Engineer.

Grade Requirements:

• You will need AAA at A Level (including Maths and Physics) or AAAAB at Scottish Highers (with Maths and Physics at A). For advanced entry to Year 2, A*AA at A Level (Maths A, Physics A) or A1A1A2A2 at Higher (Maths A1, Physics A1) is required.
• International Baccalaureate of 36 points, with HL6 in Maths and Physics.
• Equivalent international qualifications are accepted.

English Proficiency:

• Non-native English speakers need an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall, with no component below 5.5.
• Alternatives like TOEFL or PTE are accepted—see the university’s site for exact equivalents.

International students pay £29,350 per year for the MEng in Mechanical Engineering.
