The MEng Electronic Engineering at the University of Portsmouth is a four-year integrated Masters programme designed for individuals who want to develop their knowledge of the theory and design of electronics. Students will learn to design and develop electronic equipment and devices that can impact the world.
Students will learn in areas such as energy and electrical engineering fundamentals, principles of digital systems, analogue analysis and design and advanced electronic systems. The teaching methods include lectures, seminars, tutorials, laboratory and project work, CAE system activity and Open access study. Assessment is through written examinations, coursework, practical tests, project work, and presentations.
This MEng programme allows students to achieve a Masters degree with just one extra year of undergraduate study. After completing the MEng programme, students will meet the educational requirements for Chartered Engineer status (CEng). The CEng status demonstrates students' expertise and offers benefits such as improved career opportunities and earning potential.
The University of Portsmouth (UoP) is located in Portsmouth, England. It was established in 1870 and has been providing quality education. The tuition fee for this integrated Masters programme is £19,200 per year (2025 entry) for international students. Fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change.
The University of Portsmouth offers scholarships to international students to reduce their tuition costs. The Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship offers a £5,000 reduction in fees, and the Vice Chancellor's Global Development Scholarship offers a £2,500 fee reduction applied to the first year of study. Other scholarships are awarded by the university when students meet the eligibility requirements.
