Course Overview

The BSc Computer Games Production at the University of Portsmouth helps you build the skills needed to manage games projects and lead development teams. About University

The University of Portsmouth is a public university in the city of Portsmouth, on the south coast of England. Its history goes back to 1870, when the Portsmouth and Gosport School of Science and the Arts was first opened.

Entry Requirements for Sri Lankan Students

To study this course, a relevant qualification or experience in art/design/creative computing or graphic arts is required. Applicants without relevant qualifications will be asked to provide a portfolio to support their application.

Grade Requirements:

  • A UCAS score of 120-128 to include a minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent is required to study this course. This can also include qualifications such as T Levels at Merit, BTECs at DDM, and the International Baccalaureate of 25. 

English Proficiency:

  • Non-native speakers of English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in English by having an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the components. 
  • Alternative English language qualifications such as TOEFL and PTE are also accepted.

Cost of Study

The annual tuition fee to study the BSc Computer Games Production at the University of Portsmouth is £17,900. Please note that the fee quoted is only for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Scholarships

International students at the University of Portsmouth can apply for different scholarships to help reduce the cost of their studies. One option is the Chancellor’s Global Academic Merit Scholarship. This scholarship gives students up to £5,000 off their tuition fees in the first year. It is based on academic performance. To qualify, students must accept their offer to study at the university before the deadline.

Another option is the Vice Chancellor’s Global Development Scholarship. This scholarship gives a £2,500 discount on tuition fees for the first year of study. To be eligible, students must pay their fees, study full-time on campus, and their course must cost £16,200 or more per year. This scholarship is available for students starting in September 2025.
