Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants need to have a first or second-class honours degree in Geography or a related discipline. For a direct PhD entry, applicants will need to have a Master's or MPhil degree in Geography or a related discipline.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds need to score 6.0 overall in IELTS, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section, or provide equivalent PTE, TOEFL or SELT test scores.

Cost of Study

For international students undertaking the PhD Human Geography programme, the full-time tuition fee is £18,500 per academic year. Part-time study is also an option, with a tuition fee of £9,250 per academic year.
