BA Business and Finance

The BA Business and Finance programme at the University of Lincoln is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business and finance on a global scale. It's a three-year course, with an option to extend to four years if students choose to do a professional practice placement. The curriculum covers various important areas, including business theory, data analysis, marketing, and operations. 

Through this programme, students gain access to industry-standard tools like the Bloomberg Terminal and have opportunities for professional placements. They will study core modules like Introduction to Accountancy, Data Analytics for Business, Foundations of Macroeconomics, Human Resource Management, and International Economics. Assessments vary and can include written assignments, reports, exams, tests, and presentations. 

The programme also provides exemptions from some ACCA examinations, making it easier for graduates to earn professional finance qualifications.

Grade Requirements:

• International students need to have qualifications that are similar to A Levels and should achieve at least 104 UCAS Tariff points.
• Another option is to have an International Baccalaureate with a total score of at least 28 points.  

English Proficiency:

• Candidates whose first language is not English must secure an overall score of 6.0 on the IELTS, with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill area.
• The university acknowledges other tests, including TOEFL IBT and PTE Academic, as acceptable alternatives.

The tuition fee for international students enrolling in the University of Lincoln's BA Business and Finance programme in the 2025/26 academic year is estimated to be £16,600 per level. Students opting for a placement or international year abroad will pay an additional fee of £1,850 or £1,385, respectively. These fees may still be revised.

The University of Lincoln offers several scholarship options to help students finance their education. International students may qualify for the Global Leaders Scholarship, which provides a 50% tuition fee discount for one year.  

Other opportunities include the International Undergraduate Scholarship, which offers up to £2,000 per year, and the Lincoln Alumni MSc Social Work Scholarship, which awards £1,000 annually to eligible postgraduate students. Additionally, the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship covers full tuition fees for one year for international students from partner institutions abroad.
