Course overview

The MSc Engineering Management degree can be completed in one year full-time or two years part-time. It offers a strong alternative to a traditional MBA, with a clear focus on engineering management. The programme is designed for science and technology graduates, as well as experienced engineers seeking management careers in engineering or manufacturing.

The course supports the professional development of engineers from all disciplines into leadership roles across both the private and public sectors. It is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Students benefit from standard laboratory facilities at the Medway Campus while developing advanced knowledge applicable to local and global engineering management contexts.

Key areas of study include Accounting and Finance for Engineers, Global Engineering, Strategy and Management, and Advanced Principles in Supply Chain Management. Assessment methods include examinations, critical reviews, and a 60-credit Individual Research Project.
