MSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Course overview
The MSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time programme that provides advanced knowledge and skills to develop professional engineers. The degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and meets the learning requirements for achieving Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
Students gain an in-depth understanding of industrial applications, business management issues, and the use of modern ICT tools. A compulsory project allows students to explore specialist areas linked to faculty research, such as embedded systems, electronic manufacturing, or control and instrumentation.
Teaching is delivered through interactive lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in standard engineering laboratories. Assessment methods include presentations, critical reviews, case studies, and formal examinations.
