BSc Paramedic Science
Course overview
This BSc Paramedic Science three-year full-time course was created with the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) to train students for an exciting career as a paramedic. The degree is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), which allows them to apply to be a registered paramedic when they graduate.
The course mixes classroom teaching with practical placements in both NHS (National Health Service) and private healthcare settings. This ensures they get wide experience in the health sector. Students will train using advanced tools, such as very real-looking Lifecast body models and the SynDaver anatomy model. This prepares students for making fast, life-saving decisions when under pressure in emergencies.
