Course Overview

The BA Management Economics course at the University of Essex is far from conventional. It’s an economics course that focuses on the economies of businesses or organisations and how they operate successfully.

This programme explains the relationship between economic principles and decision-making in an organisation. Entry Requirements

Grade requirements 

The university requires 120 - 112 UCAS tariff points from a minimum of 2 full A levels or their equivalent. For A-levels, the university accepts BBB - BBC. Also, applicants need a B/5 grade in Mathematics for GCSE. Applicants with the International Baccalaureate Diploma must have a minimum of 30 - 29 points or three Higher Level certificates with 555-554.

English Proficiency

  • Non-native English speakers may need to demonstrate proficiency in the language, typically through an IELTS score of at least 6.0. TOEFL or other equivalents are also allowed.

The tuition fee (2025/2026 session) for a BA Management Economics degree at the University of Essex is £ 21,525 per year.
