There’s been a valid shift in the global business shift as more organisations look towards expanding operations beyond the national level. This increased the demand for graduates who are capable of overseeing business operations on a multinational level.
At the University of Central Lancashire, the BA International Business programme equips students with theoretical and practical knowledge to navigate business operations on a global level. In addition to cultural intelligence and global citizenship, this programme allows them to learn a foreign language which is a great asset to their CVs.
In this course, students learn through a combination of traditional lectures, seminars and practical workshops to improve independent learning. While the university conducts exams, they account for 50% of the final mark and to make up the final mark, students are assessed using essays, reports, oral presentations, and blogs.
Impressively, the university offers students an optional 48-week industry placement during year 3 of this programme. This serves as an opportunity for practical learning in the real-world. Additionally, students can take advantage of the university's enterprise support – Propeller, to launch startups of their own.
