Course Overview

The MBA Master in Business Administration (Hospital and Health Services Management) at the University of Bedfordshire is a full-time programme that can be completed in one year. This course develops students' understanding of how healthcare services work while also looking at advanced research in healthcare management. Students will learn how to use technology and data to manage and deliver healthcare services effectively.

The programme offers six entry points throughout the year and takes place at the University Square Campus in Luton. Students will interact with various core modules such as Managerial Perspectives in Health Informatics, Contemporary Healthcare Management, and Responsible Leadership & Sustainable Management. Assessments will include in-class tests, project reports, presentations, business simulations, and business reports to evaluate their understanding.

Before the end of the course, students will have developed valuable skills such as critical thinking, effective communication, adaptability, ethical decision-making, leadership, and strategic management.

Entry Requirements

Grade Requirements:

  • Applicants should hold at least a 2.2 honours degree in a related discipline or an equivalent qualification.

English Proficiency:

  • Applicants whose first language is not English should have at least a 6.0 score on the IELTS, with no band below 5.5. 

  • Other English proficiency tests like TOEFL, Pearson Academic, and Cambridge English are also acceptable.

Cost of Study

International students enrolling in the University of Bedfordshire MBA Master in Business Administration (Hospital and Health Services Management) programme for the academic year 2025/26 will be charged a tuition fee of £18,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this fee may still be updated.

Scholarships

International students at the University of Bedfordshire can apply for various scholarships, including undergraduate subject-specific ones, which offer discounts of up to £6,000 on tuition fees for each academic year. For those pursuing a postgraduate degree, the Global Subject-specific Merit Scholarship offers discounts of up to £5,000 on the total course tuition.

Additionally, all international students enrolled in Master’s programmes, including the MBA, who do not receive other scholarships, are eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship. This scholarship provides a £1,000 reduction in the first year’s fees, and students transitioning from undergraduate to Master’s courses can also benefit from this opportunity. There are further discounts, such as a £500 reduction for those who pay their tuition fees in full before registration.
