Course overview
The BSc Biological Science with Foundation year course prepares students for a career in the life sciences. It is a four-year programme, with the first year as a foundation that introduces students to the subject. The foundation year builds on scientific principles and prepares students for the three years of their degree.
This biology course teaches students about all living things, from tiny cells to humans. Students will learn about how living things work, how they are structured, and how they interact with each other and their environment. They will also explore topics like health, disease, and the ethics of scientific discoveries.
Entry requirements
Candidates are to submit a statement where they discuss their reasons for applying for the course, an academic and/or employer reference and CVs along with their applications. Candidates may need to attend an interview.

A Level 3 qualification such as A-levels, BTEC or an equivalent in a science subject.

A Mathematics GCSE at grade 4 or grade C is accepted.
