MEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering

Swansea University

Course overview

This four-year MEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering is an advanced, integrated programme that goes beyond a standard BEng, enabling in-depth specialisation. It teaches high-level technical and leadership skills, preparing graduates directly for professional engineer certification. The essential areas covered include modern technologies such as mobile networks, digital audio, and green energy systems.

The programme focuses on building sharp analytical skills through practical, hands-on learning with highly specialised equipment in facilities like the PCB fabrication lab and the Smart City and Antenna lab. Assessment includes examinations, coursework, practical reports, and a major design project. For a strong career launch, students can opt for a Year in Industry or a Year Abroad, both of which enhance professional experience.
